In Lake Preston, South Dakota, farmer Paul Casper says the rains in the last week are welcome. “We’ve been waiting for rain to help get pre-emergence herbicides incorporated. We got enough rain in the last week to get that going good. Some farmers are spraying right now, trying to get rid of the weeds sneaking in. Overall, we’ve got good moisture and should be sitting ok.” Casper also says many prevent plant acres are coming back into production this growing season.
