World Weather Incorporated Senior Ag Meteorologist Drew Lerner says the Northern Plains didn’t get as much rain as he expected in May. “We finished the month better but I was hoping we’d get started in this pattern earlier,” says Lerner. The cool air this spring kept the jet stream to the south and the region missed out on the rain.
