Minnesota lawmakers are working through the details of the budget targets leaders released on Monday. Minnesota House Agriculture Committee Chair Mike Sundin is glad to see $70 million for rural broadband development. “Much of that is targeted to underserved areas in rural Minnesota.” State leadership also increased the Department of Agriculture budget $10 million. “That’s one of the biggest increases we’ve seen.” Sundin is anticipating a three-day special session in mid-June.
