Syngenta has launched a new seed treatment fungicide for cereal crops called Trebuset. Product Lead Josh Kelley says the product is on the market in the Pacific Northwest this year. Trials will also be conducted across the Northern Plains this season. Kelley says Trebuset stands out because it features a new mode of action against Fusarium. “This is the first active ingredient that we’ve gotten registered in cereals in nearly a decade.” Kelley says Trebuset is just one of many new products coming to the cereals market within the next five years. “We’re continuing to invest in cereals; it is a primary focus crop for us.”
