Last week, 26 American Crystal Sugar Company beet shares were brokered at $3,900 per share. For the season, which started in late August, 4,830 shares were brokered at an average price of $3,729.25 per share. This information is provided by Acres & Shares on a weekly basis during the trading season. “This year’s brokered volume was above the five year average of 4,630 shares and ten year average of 4,225 shares. It ranks as the third highest volume in the last ten years behind 2013-14 (6,858 shares) and 2015-16 (5,680),” said Jayson Menke of Acres & Shares. “This season also ranks as the third highest price per share in the past ten years behind 2012-13 ($3,941.32) and 2013-14 ($3,772.82).
