According to the latest data from USDA, more than $13.4 billion has been paid out to farmers through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2.0. More than 32,000 applications have been approved for Minnesota farmers, totaling $613 million. Corn was responsible for most of the CFAP 2 payments in Minnesota. In North Dakota, nearly $299 million has gone out to 18,000 applicants. For South Dakota, there have been 20,500 applications for a total of $482.5 million. In the Dakotas, most of the payments were for cattle. The sign-up for CFAP 2 was reopened earlier this month.
