Governor Kristi Noem’s executive order to merge the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources went into effect Monday, April 19. From now on, the merged department will be called the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Hunter Roberts is the first cabinet secretary.
