The ethanol market is beginning to see a good recovery as ethanol demand increases. Standard Grain President Joe Vaclavik says to keep an eye on ethanol. “Prior to the last two years, we never worried much about the ethanol market. It was a steady source of demand. Then, we saw demand fall off in COVID. I think we’re going to see corn demand, via the ethanol industry, expand in the coming months.” The increased ethanol demand is coming from a couple of areas. “There’s more gasoline demand. We also saw ADM was reopening two plants in Iowa and Nebraska. High corn prices won’t stop the ethanol producer. In fact, we are going to see much better demand due to the way things look.”
