Channel Technical Agronomist Derek Crompton says farmers are not looking at prevented plant this year due to the dry field conditions. “The choices of what they’re going to do is not going to be limited by either wet ground or the calendar,” said Derek Crompton, technical agronomist, Channel. “I think that’s what guys are most excited about.” Crompton is seeing a trend where soybeans are planted ahead of the corn. “The earlier they planted their soybeans last year, the better bushels they got. The guys that planted corn after beans had a wonderful stand of corn and and it yielded well.”
