U.S. Sugar, which is the largest sugarcane producer in the country, is buying Imperial Sugar from the Louis Dreyfus Company. Louis Dreyfus says this deal will allow it to concentrate on its global sugar trading business. The sale is expected to be completed later this year after an antitrust review is completed.
