In the weekly Grain Transportation report, USDA says Class I railroads originated 18,800 grain carloads during the week ending February 20. That’s a 17 percent decrease from the previous week, one percent less than last year and nine percent lower than the three-year average. Secondary railcar bids and offers were at $0 for the week ending February 25, down $323 from the previous week but $160 more than the same week one year ago.
