The American Farm Bureau Federation wants the USDA to extend the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program application deadline 30 days beyond the date when the Regulatory Freeze Pending Review is completed. The current deadline to sign-up for the program is Friday, but Farm Bureau says the severe weather and suspension of CFAP payments led to challenges and confusion in the application process. This is included in a letter President Zippy Duvall sent to Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack on Wednesday.
