Cummings, North Dakota farmer David Mueller said the processing of the 2020 sugarbeet crop is going well for American Crystal Sugar Company and will wrap up sooner than usual. “This is one of the warmest winters on record and we haven’t thrown many beets away. The management team is doing an excellent job of moving trucks around and finding spots warming up,” said Mueller. “There are a few months left for processing, but the end is in sight. We’ll be okay. They’re managing things well.” Mueller is also the chairman of the ACSC board.
