The Precision Planting winter conference will be held tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday at the Avalon Center in Fargo. Troy Amundson from Premium Ag Solutions says this conference shines a light on the planter. “You can spray what you want and harvest what you want, but if you don’t plant the absolute perfect stand to begin with, you’re starting in a negative position.” The Precision Planting conference concentrates on agronomic research and new technologies. Amundson sees demand for a customized planter set-up. “If you go and look for a used planter, they are far and few between. The retrofit world is working and guys are seeing a value in not trading when they can do something better at a more cost effective level.” Farmers can register online. The appropriate health and safety guidelines will be in place for the in-person conference.
