The Environmental Protection Agency wants to push back 2019 and 2020 compliance year deadlines for the Renewable Fuels Standard. In a proposal, refineries producing less than 75,000 barrels of oil per day would have until November 30 to meet 2019 RFS blending requirements. Refineries would have until January 31, 2022 to meet the 2020 RFS obligations. Oil refinery struggles are the reason EPA is proposing the extensions. Read the details.
