Bull markets don’t happen often and Advanced Trading Risk Management Advisor Tommy Grisafi thinks farmers need to be part of this one. “One of the greatest benefactors of this soybean rally could be spring wheat,” says Grisafi. “Keep an eye on it for the next six months or year. That bull market comes in the tail when we realize the financial motivation to plant those soybeans was so great. There are lots of interesting things that could happen.” During Tuesday’s virtual Small Grains Update Meeting, Grisafi was asked when he thinks wheat could close the gap with corn and soybeans. “Ultimately, although the government and farmers can have intentions, Mother Nature will determine what can be planted. It wouldn’t shock me at all to see a nice rally in the spring wheat although we have to stay defensive.”
