National Potato Council CEO Kam Quarles and others in the fruit and vegetable industry met with Agriculture Secretary Nominee Tom Vilsack. The session was organized by the Biden Transition Team to get a better understanding of potato industry priorities. Quarles said the outreach is positive. The Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee will take up the nomination of Vilsack in the next few weeks.
