China is expected to import more than 100 million tons of soybeans in 2020. If realized, that would be an all-time record high. An executive with the state-owned agribusiness company, COFCO, said China is rebuilding its swine herd after it was destroyed by African Swine Fever. The record demand is due to China’s demand for protein. China imported 92 million tons of soybeans last year.
