Weed resistance is an urgent concern across the region. “One of the main driver weeds we see in the Northern Plains is kochia and we’re starting to see an increase in marestail pressure,” said Brooklyn Dalton, product manager, Corteva Agriscience. Corteva received federal registration this past year for its next-generation broadleaf weed control, called WideARmatch. Dalton is optimistic about another cereal herbicide that is expected to receive federal registration in 2021.
