CHS Hedging market analyst Steve Wagner says now that the December Supply and Demand report is out, grain traders are looking at South America’s crop and the January USDA production report. “What does the USDA give us for the final report for the 2020 crop?” Traders will also begin looking at the 2021 acreage mix, but Wagner is not expecting an acreage battle yet. “Between corn and soybeans right now it’s not a big battle. I think corn will continue to win the fight, but if the soybeans continue to gain, there could be a battle.”
