Bangladesh, Pakistan and Egypt are being recognized as growth markets for U.S. soybeans. United Soybean Board Chairman Jim Carroll made that point at the checkoff’s December meeting. “They were considered minor markets back in the day, but they’re not anymore. Some of these markets have grown between 50 percent and 500 percent in the last couple years.” Carroll praised the U.S. Soybean Export Council for its work in building international markets, especially during this time of COVID.
