R-CALF USA has filed a motion with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals to prevent the Federal Meat Inspection Act from governing beef labeling and beef advertising. Earlier this month, the court dismissed two lawsuits dealing with labeling. R-CALF says the FMIA has oversight over labeling, but the regulations should not extend to advertising.
