Stearns County Farm Bureau members Lucas and Alise Sjostrom have won the Minnesota Young Farmers & Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture contest. This competition features young members who support agriculture, but do not earn most of their income from production agriculture. The Sjostroms, who operate a cheese plant on the family dairy farm near Brooten, will compete virtually in the national contest in January.
