With climate change policies anticipated with a Biden Administration, Croplife America President and CEO Chris Novak says the crop protection industry is eager to have a seat at the table. “Farmers are already using conservation tillage and no-till systems. Farmers are expanding the use of cover crops across the Midwest. All of these systems require the use of pesticides to help with weed control and replace some of the tillage that used to be part of conventional agriculture. We need to share this message with an incoming Biden administration about how agriculture technology and innovation will be critical to our success in addressing climate.” CropLife America is considering a few of the climate policy recommendations from the Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance. “When you put Farm Bureau, Farmers Union and the Environmental Defense Fund together, it actually is a great signal farmers and the environmental community can work hand-in-hand.”
