South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson was re-elected for a second term. The House Agriculture Committee member expects work to begin on a new farm bill in 2021. “I know it seems like we just passed one and we did, but part of what made agricultural policy so successful is it’s generally bipartisan and predictable. When we make changes to crop insurance or the Conservation Reserve Program, these are fully vetted. We don’t want to rush a farm bill, so let’s roll up our sleeves.”
