Johnson Farms of Frankfort, South Dakota is the Region 7 award winner for Outstanding Environment Stewardship. The farm is operated by Alan and Mickie Johnson, along with their son Brian and his wife Jamie. The family focuses on improving soil health through holistic management decisions. Johnson Farms, along with six other regional finalists, will be considered for the 2021 National Environmental Stewardship Award at the national Cattle Industry Convention in February.
