The 91st Annual North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Convention and Trade Show kicks off today. Cattle producers are gathering in Bismarck for a long weekend filled with policy discussions, cattle market talks and more. NDSA Executive Vice President Julie Ellingson says there are many educational and networking opportunities in the three-day schedule. “Certainly one of the hot topics this year has been improvement of price discovery and transparency. That would provide better tools for producers and feeders to make decisions with,” says Ellingson. “We also have over 50 exhibitors and vendors exhibiting in the trade show.” Those in attendance will get a special opportunity to hear from one of USDA’s top leaders. Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs Greg Ibach will address convention attendees Saturday morning. All are invited to attend the convention this weekend. Registration, including one-day rates, are available at the door. Stay tuned to the Red River Farm Network for more reports from the NDSA Convention and Trade Show. Listen to the full story.
