Twelve U.S. Senators are urging USDA to approve a request from the National Bison Association (NBA) to purchase $17 million of bison meat under the Section 32 program. The association cites an oversupply of harvest-ready animals, along with drought conditions in the heart of bison territory, as the primary reasons.
