Cattle producers had an opportunity to view and learn from several different seedstock operations during the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) annual All Breeds Tour. During the two-day event, cattle producers from North Dakota and surrounding states toured eight ranches in the Minot area. NDSA Communications Director Elizabeth Neshem says this tour provides a networking opportunity for cattlemen. It is also a huge marketing opportunity for those seedstock producers. “Angus, Red Angus, Charolais, Simmental and Limousin were just a few of the breeds showcased on the tour. The producers on the tour were really excited to see a lot of the calves right off the cow.” COVID-19 and the impacts it’s had on the industry certainly remains top of mind for the industry. “There was a lot of talk about that over the two-days, as well as CFAP 2 and what will be showcased at our upcoming annual convention,” says Neshem. “We love providing this educational opportunity so producers can get together and just talk.” Pictures from the event are available on the NDSA Facebook page. A full recap of the tour will be available in an upcoming edition of The North Dakota Stockman magazine. Listen to the RRFN story.
