Field conditions are dry as potato harvest continues in the Grand Forks, North Dakota area. Local farmers Paul Sproule and Tim Myron say a half inch of rain would be appreciated. Drier fields make potatoes more susceptible to bruising at harvest. In turn, they don’t store as well.
