There is some frost and freeze damage being noted in the Dakotas. In the latest USDA Crop Progress Report, North Dakota soybean conditions declined 11 percentage points from the previous week. GL Crop Consulting President Greg LaPlante says the soybean crop in the southern Red River Valley was impcated. “In Richland and Logan counties we did experience some frost damage to the soybeans. More superficial than detrimental, but it depends on the crop,”: he says. “Most of the beans were in the late R6 or R7 stage.” Soybean harvest began the second week of September.
