Badger, Minnesota farmer Shayne Isane is done with small grain harvest. “We had a nice stretch of weather, finishing spring wheat harvest the last week of August. We are happy to get it harvested and there’s not much small grains left to harvest in the area.” The crop was highly variable. “We had too much water early on and then, a lot of heat. The crop yielded anywhere between 50 to 70 bushels per acre. The quality has been good, no falling numbers issues, with decent protein.”
