The University of Minnesota has released a new hard red spring wheat variety called MN-Torgy. MN-Torgy features a combination of yield, protein, straw strength and disease resistance. This variety is named in honor of Dave Torgerson, the former executive director of the Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers and Minnesota Wheat Research and Promotion Council.
