Abbi Steeke of Rhame, North Dakota is passionate about livestock. This past year, Abbi has been involved with the livestock judging program at Colby Community College in Colby, Kansas. “Livestock judging is something that helps us know how to produce better animals and can be a good educational opportunity.” Steeke is also showing livestock this summer, but it’s been limited. “The North Dakota State Fair didn’t happen, but there are jackpot shows. My sister and I still have animals in the barn through October.” Abbi is pursuing a degree in animal science and plans to transfer to South Dakota State University after her sophomore year. This Parade of Champions feature is made possible by Ag Country Farm Credit Services, NDFB, Minnesota Corn Growers Association, North Dakota Grain Growers Association and the Associated Milk Producers, Incorporated.
