The Minnesota Legislature adjourned without reaching a deal on the bonding and tax bill, but there could be another opportunity. With the possibility of a third special session next month, Minnesota Corn Growers Association Senior Public Policy Director Amanda Bilek is hopeful lawmakers can get Section 179 conformity and a bonding bill across the finish line. “The Section 179 issue is important for agriculture and farmers across the state. We urge lawmakers to reach an agreement on these issues for the people of Minnesota.” If Section 179 conformity does not happen this year, Bilek says several groups will continue pushing for it in the 2021 session.
