North Dakota State University has been awarded a grant totaling over $499,000 from USDA to study rangeland management strategies. According to NDSU, there is a need to investigate management options that “sustainably enhance livestock productivity while conserving biodiversity.” The plan is to study four management regimes using fire and/or grazing to promote variable habitats.
