In the series of BASF Virtual Field Day updates on the Red River Farm Network, business representative Matthew Pedersen says conditions are ripe for white mold in canola. “We’re coming off a wet fall last year so we have residual moisture in the ground and now we’ve had significant rainfall in the last few weeks,” said Pedersen. “With the high humidity, it will drive sclerotia to be in the air and there is potential for infection for broadleaf crops like canola, dry beans and soybeans.”
