Central and western North Dakota remain relatively dry. Arthur Companies grain merchandiser Jenna Knutson says the Harvey area had a light rain on Thursday, but “some wheat is already starting head out.” There’s a lot of grain to be moved, but the market hasn’t offered many opportunities. Knutson says the basis has been firm. “It’s helped with China buying some beans and talking about buying wheat and corn, but a firm basis and a poor futures market isn’t doing much for cash prices.”
