The USDA CFAP program is in the spotlight, but North Dakota Farm Service Agency State Executive Director Brad Thykeson says WHIP+ has not been forgotten. There is a quality component to this program. “They’re working on that in Washington, trying to figure out our spring wheat quality issues with falling numbers last fall and our test weight issues in corn.” Patience may be needed for this effort. “It is a very complex program working with RMA data and it hasn’t transferred over as smoothly as we would have liked so a lot of manual entering for our FSA employees.”
