The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has denied a request from the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association for a 10-day extension to the June 20 dicamba application cutoff date. Early last week, Executive Director Joe Smentek submitted the request, but on Friday, the Minnesota Ag Department clarified the cutoff date would be Saturday, June 20. Minnesota Soybean Growers Association Drift Task Force Chair Bob Worth expressed disappointment in the decision. Weather has delayed some herbicide applications, but other products may be used to control weeds moving forward. Read the press release.
