A special legislative session continues in St. Paul, Minnesota. Senate Agriculture, Rural Development and Housing Finance Chair Torrey Westrom says it’s uncertain where some bills are at in the process, but there is agreement on at least one thing: allocating COVID-19 funds. “It’s been a little difficult to get Governor Walz to come along and agree to the bill. The Senate and House leadership have worked it out, but we’re just waiting on the governor.” According to Westrom, the chances of getting a bonding bill complete are about 50/50 and a tax bill is also unknown. However, there is drive to get some things done. “There’s a lot of interest in getting many of these things done that we need to complete.”
