Based on updated information from a re-survey of North Dakota farmers in May, USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service estimates North Dakota 2019 corn production at 410 million bushels, down nine percent from 2018. The corn yield is estimated at 131 bushels per acre, down 22 bushels per acre. USDA says farmers harvested 3.13 million acres of corn, which is 89 percent of the planted area. Soybean production is estimated at 170 million bushels. The average soybean yield is estimated at 31.5 bushels per acre. The National Ag Statistics Service says farmers harvested 5.4 million acres of soybeans, which is 96 percent of the planted acreage.
