Nearly one year after beginning an investigation into possible beef price fixing after the fire at the Holcomb, Kansas beef plant, USDA and the Justice Department have not issued any reports. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is asking the administration to release a preliminary report as soon as possible. If a report isn’t issued by August, Grassley said he will ask the GAO to investigate the USDA reporting process.
