The Argentine government is taking over a major soybean crusher that is going through financial problems. Vicentin entered bankruptcy in February had about 20 percent market share of Argentina’s soybean meal market and 23 percent of soybean oil sales. A member of the administration said the state takeover will help bring in foreign currency, which is needed as Argentina deals with a financial crisis. Critics are saying this move is unconstitutional.
