The CEO of one of the country’s biggest chicken producers and three other industry executives have been indicted on price fixing charges on chicken sold to restaurants and grocery stores. In Wednesday’s indictment, Pilgrim’s Pride CEO Jayson Penn and former company Vice President Roger Austin were charged in the one-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Denver. Claxton Poultry Farms President Mikell Fries and Vice President Scott Brady were also charged.
