USDA unveiled more details of a new competitive grant program called the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program. This encourages biofuel infrastructure improvements. “If any kind of fuel retailer or distributor is able to apply for the funding, the application window is open until August 13,” said Steve Censky, deputy agriculture secretary, USDA. “Under this program, we’re providing up to a 50 percent cost share. We’re looking for the investment from the retailers or the distributors of the fuel, but we’re also going to come in with a grant to try to help move them so they have the infrastructure to begin offering it to consumers.” Click here for more details on the grant program.
