Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley introduced a bill to support biofuel producers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bill will require the USDA to reimburse biofuels producers for feedstock purchases from January 1 through March 31 through the Commodity Credit Corporation. The lawmakers initially pushed for the proposal as an amendment in the CARES Act, but it wasn’t included and now it’s being introduced separately.
