USDA’s projection of a very large corn carryout will keep pressure on corn prices. Utterback Marketing President Bob Utterback recommends farmers use seasonal rallies to catch up on corn sales. “I think there’s more of a chance corn will try to have a seasonal bounce going into June,” says Utterback. “If we get March corn back to $3.50 or $3.60, we should consider ourselves fortunate. If we can get soybeans back to the $8.80 to $9 range, it would be good. Then, we will seasonally break into the harvest time period.”
