It is a very unusual marketplace for agriculture. “The one think markets don’t like is uncertainty,” says Katie Tangen, marketing education specialist, AgCountry Farm Credit Services. “Now, if traders knew everything would be over in June and all the demand could be brought back, it would maybe be okay.” Tangen adds there are thoughts that the coronavirus is an industry changing event, especially for the ethanol industry.
