North Dakota farmers are still making seed decisions and planting intentions. “There are some farmers backing off on corn and at the same time, there’s some good corn acres going in. There’s also some soybean orders coming in,” said Adam Spelhaug, agronomy manager, Peterson Farms Seed. “I think some of this is just the uncertainty of ground. Farmers are starting to make some final decisions.” Spelhaug reminds farmers not to rush planting. “Don’t push it. You only get one chance and especially on corn, you want to get things right on the first planting.”
